Since 1985 El- Ghonemy has been established as a family business regarding to the experience that we have in the field of agriculture and also the experience we earned from our global business through year of trading and success which allowed us to compete in different markets and we had a good step by exporting to EU markets and we started in parallel exporting to Arab countries as well and from 1988 to 1996 we made a big success in Holland, Romania, Greece, Czech, Kuwait, Oman, Lebanon, KSA. During that time we were focus on potatoes till we had a suggestion from one of our client to try exporting green beans and we did our first shipment in 1996 and it was sent to the Italian market, we started by exporting a little amount of Polista Variety (5 tons) and then we expand our exporting volume and during that time also we start to add the onion to our production by exporting a trial containers to Ukrainian market and step by step we added some other products such as Lemons, Mangoes, Grapes, Strawberries, Oranges, Artichokes, Capsicums, Green Beans and Spring onions. In 2004 we started to decrease our products volume and we started to focus on potatoes and increase our export range in potatoes to fulfill our customers’ needs. By 2008, we started to add some products to our products list beside our success in exporting potatoes with different varieties for table and for industry. We are exporting not really a huge volume of products but our catalogue included what our customers need and what we guarantee in quality as we are so keen to keep the good quality because you deserve quality. Since 2009 we thought to improve our self more by implementing the Quality assurance standards and we have passed ISO2200:2005 and GLOBAL GAP successfully to keep our quality level and we are keeping on our way to improve our quality systems and our product quality as well. On the other hand, since we started this business we thought well to market our name globally, through making partnerships in UAE and UK, and lately we have done good step in 2011 by dealing with the Italian market which it gives us good space to enter the European market on widely. Our philosophy is export freshness and doing our best to keep competitive and special, we also believe that to expand your business you need to be cooperative and honest this will leave a great impression and good start for a big continues business.
